To fully enjoy your whale watching adventure, we have a few tips on how to prepare for your experience:
  • Dress in warmly, wear long pants, and bring a windproof jacket
  • Wear a wide brimmed or warm cap
  • Wear closed-toed, flat-soled shoes
  • Bring sunglasses, sunblock and lip moisturizer
  • Don’t forget your cameras and extra film

  • What is the minimum age requirement for taking the whale tour?

    Sorry, children under 5 are not permitted on the whale watching tours.
  • Does season have an impact on the species of whales & dolphins that are in the Monterey Bay water?

    Depending on which season you are visiting, different whales are prevalent. During the months of December through April, you will most likely spot the California Gray Whales as they migrate from the icy waters of the north to the warm waters of Southern California. From April through November, you will see various types of whales, like Humpback Whales, Orcas, Fin Whales, Blue Whales and Minke Whales. The summer months also bring large pods of Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, Northern Right Whale Dolphins, and Risso’s Dolphins.
